Job summary

USG is seeking a Manufacturing Industrial Electrician to perform electrical maintenance in our Texas plant. The role focuses on safe operations, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of motors and control systems.

Responsibilities include interpreting wiring schematics, operating test equipment, and adhering to NEC and NFPA-70E standards in a manufacturing setting. Shift is Monday–Friday with potential weekends and flexible scheduling to match school needs.

Qualifications

• Must safely and proficiently work as an electrician in a plant setting.
• Possess basic mechanical maintenance skills.
• Ability to interpret and perform tasks from printed work orders.
• Basic computer skills for safety training and review of emails.
• Ability to operate equipment including forklifts.
• Familiar with common hand tools and proper use.
• Good collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work safely by adhering to plant accident prevention policies.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot electrical components within the manufacturing plant.
• Maintain, test and repair AC/DC motors and motor control systems.
• Develop skill set to troubleshoot PLC controls and instrumentation equipment.
• Interpret and use wiring schematics.
• Operate electrical test equipment within the job.
• Follow NEC/ NFPA-70E standards in a manufacturing environment.
