Job summary

USG in Ohio is seeking a skilled electrical maintenance technician to perform basic and advanced electrical tasks, install/modify circuitry, measure and install wiring, replace components, and test equipment to prevent issues. You will ensure compliance with OSHA, USG, and NFPA 70E regulations while supporting drive, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across production lines.

You will use precision meters and infrared cameras to diagnose problems and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors,

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Manufacturing Electrical or related skills/field are required.
• Safety and housekeeping are the first considerations in all activities.
• Report unsafe conditions or defective equipment to supervisor.
• Must perform essential physical requirements and work in adverse conditions.
• Must pass the USG Mechanical Skills Assessment.
• Willingness to pursue additional training.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced electrical maintenance tasks.
• Install or modify circuitry.
• Measure, cut, and install wiring and conduit systems.
• Replace breakers, fuses, switches, drives and wiring as necessary.
• Test and adjust equipment to prevent issues.
• Troubleshoot or replace electrical components as needed.
• Observe OSHA, USG and NFPA 70E regulations.
• Perform minor mechanical maintenance such as replacing drive belts and conveyor belting.
• Troubleshoot power transmission, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance on drive, hydraulic, pneumatic, and production systems using manuals and specs.
• Locate problem sources by observing equipment and using testing instruments.
