Job summary

USG is seeking a Manufacturing Industrial Electrician to support our Texas plant. The role focuses on safe operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical components across the production line, including AC/DC motors and motor controls.

You will read wiring schematics, use PLCs, and work with test equipment while following NEC and NFPA-70E standards. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Must have the skills to work safely as an electrician in a plant setting.
• Basic mechanical maintenance skills.
• Ability to interpret and perform tasks from printed work orders.
• Basic computer skills for safety training and review work emails.
• Ability to operate equipment including forklifts.
• Familiar with common hand tools.
• Good collaboration skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in the plant by following accident prevention policies.
• Safely install, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical components within the manufacturing plant.
• Maintain, test and repair AC/DC motors and motor control systems.
• Develop skills to troubleshoot advanced control systems and instrumentation, including PLCs.
• Interpret wiring schematics.
• Operate electrical test equipment.
• Know NEC codes, NFPA-70E, and perform electrician duties in a manufacturing environment.
