Job summary

Australia-Employment is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Lawrence, KS client in a safe, industrial setting. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing 110V–480V electrical systems, PLCs, and three‑phase motors in a manufacturing plant.

You’ll work a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule with competitive benefits, including medical coverage and two weeks of PTO/flex time.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2-5 years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing or plant environment.
Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.
Experience with three-phase motors and 480V systems.
Experience troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens).
Ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair 110V, 220V, and 480V electrical systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot three-phase motors, control panels, wiring systems, and industrial electrical components.
Troubleshoot PLCs and automated manufacturing equipment.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
Diagnose electrical problems and identify root causes of equipment failures.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Assist with installation and modification of electrical equipment and systems.
Troubleshoot control circuits, sensors, switches, relays, and other electrical components.
Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Ensure electrical work is completed in accordance with safety standards and company procedures.
Document repairs, installations, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
Respond to equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Participate in maintenance projects and equipment improvement initiatives.
