Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Safety-conscious quarry operator to operate off-road haul trucks and move aggregate materials throughout the quarry. You will perform pre-operational inspections, follow safety procedures, and support production by delivering materials to loading and processing areas.

Candidates should have proven experience operating heavy equipment in industrial settings, commit to safety, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team in outdoor

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate off-road haul trucks to safely and efficiently transport aggregate materials throughout the quarry.
• Conduct pre-operational equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow established safety procedures, traffic patterns, and operating guidelines at all times.
• Support production goals by transporting materials to designated loading, dumping, and processing areas.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch personnel, and team members to maintain efficient operations.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to comply with all company safety requirements.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

Physical Demands

• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access equipment platforms; enter and exit haul unit multiple times throughout the shift.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods while operating and inspecting equipment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment components weighing up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual awareness.
