Job summary

Atkore International, Weatherford, TX, is seeking a Fabrication Operator I for the Day Shift (7 am–7 pm). You will operate various saws and machines to bend pipe, load materials, and monitor product specs for quality, under the direction of the Shift Lead.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and a commitment to safety while maintaining efficient production. This is an on-site, full-time position with competitive benefits and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• A good understanding of basic math is required for quick and accurate counting and calculations
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization
• Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands, and able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner
• Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment

Responsibilities

• Runs various saws and machines in Fabrication
• Help load the pipe into the machine
• Stack finished products on pallets according to the packaging standard
• Band up pallet when complete
• Check the angle of the pipe on the angle table
• Cut boards to size for pipe packaging
• Has knowledge of safety procedures for each machine, E-Stops, pinch points, etc.
• Informs the Shift Lead of any possible safety infractions
• Informs forklift personnel or the Shift Lead when running low on Fab Stock to be cut
• Must check the cut length frequently for any deviation in the cut length specs
• Housekeeping is a must throughout the shift
