Job summary

Emerus is seeking an experienced ER nurse for the day shift (7am–7pm) in a 16-bed small-format hospital. You will assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room, ensuring privacy and safety while following physician orders and delivering proficient nursing care.

Required are an Associate’s degree (BSN preferred), active RN licensure, and 2+ years ER experience with current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions required.
• 2+ years ER or equivalent full-time nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the ER.
• Document medical records accurately and concisely.
• Observe and record vital signs, symptoms and behaviors.
• Follow physician orders in the delivery of nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform tests per policies.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Prepare equipment for diagnostics or procedures and assist as needed.
