Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
• No minimum experience required.
• Preferred: experience in acute or critical care.

Responsibilities

• Assess the respiratory care needs of patients.
• Administer, monitor, and wean mechanical ventilation and manage airways.
• Perform blood gas analysis and respiratory function tests.
• Transport patients within UTMB campuses.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on care plans.
• Attend Neonatal deliveries and participate in rounds.
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory care.
