Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including ABG, PFTs, and various ventilator supports. The ideal candidate will treat adults and neonates under indirect supervision of the medical director and adhere to departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• NRP and PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Texas Medical Board license in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Minimum 6 months of respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene and airway maintenance.
• Assess and treat adults and neonates under indirect supervision of the medical director.
• Conduct cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures: ABG, PFT, ECG, and pulse oximetry.
• Prepare treatment evaluations via bedside assessment and chart review.
• Interpret radiographs (CXR), ABG, and PFT data to guide care.
• Operate, assemble, and troubleshoot CP equipment: ventilators, airways, analyzers.
• Contribute to infection control, safety, and quality assurance activities.
• Maintain and clean cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
