Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support our respiratory care department across campuses. The role focuses on vent management, airway support, and implementing treatment plans per protocols.

Applicants must hold a MA respiratory license, NBRC RRT credential, and BCLS; NICU/Pediatric experience is a plus. This full-time position offers a $10,000 sign-on and a structured schedule with shared weekends.

Qualifications

• Current MA respiratory license.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and supports patients on mechanical ventilation and provides respiratory support as required.
• Assists physicians during intubations and bedside procedures under bronchoscopic guidance.
• Establishes treatment plans and adjusts therapy per department protocols for bronchodilator therapy and chest physiotherapy.
• Obtains arterial blood gases and performs blood draws for gas analysis.
• Sets up and monitors ventilators and oxygen delivery devices.
• Maintains difficult airway carts and participates on the code airway team.
• Performs resting and trending pulse oximetry as needed.
