Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a full-time Cook for Glenbrook Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center in Fort Wayne, IN. You will join our culinary team to prepare and serve nutritious meals, ensuring sanitation and safety standards are met for residents.

Responsibilities include following menus, leading kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean work area. Prior healthcare experience and sanitation certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification; certifications can be earned while employed.
• Preferred: Prior institutional and/or healthcare service experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food meeting residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares palatable, nutritious meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage of supplies.
