Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting Ltd. is seeking a Controls Technician for a day shift in the southwest suburban Atlanta area, GA.

The role involves building and programming PLC panels, integrating controls, and getting automated equipment up and running. You will configure, test, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems, with responsibilities ranging from pneumatic and hydraulic circuits to PLC troubleshooting and robotic controls.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years related experience.
• PLC programming proficiency demonstrated.
• Able to program from scratch and troubleshoot.
• Wiring a 9-lead motor and testing windings.
• Familiar with sensors: PNP/NPN, loop-powered devices, dry contacts.
• Analog control experience: 4-20mA and 0-10V signals.
• Ladder logic troubleshooting and panel building skills.
• Electrical experience across automated systems; some robotics exposure.
• Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission control systems for automated equipment.
• Build PLC panels and program them to run production lines.
• Configure, test, operate, maintain, service, and troubleshoot controls.
• Support preventative maintenance and upgrades on control systems.
• Assist in wiring, repairing, and upgrading machines and components.
• Train others on installation, use, and service of equipment.
