Job summary

RRC Solutions Group is seeking a skilled Controls Technician for the day shift in the southwest suburban Atlanta area. You will design, integrate, and install automated equipment, build PLC panels, and program them to run.

The role involves configuring, testing, and servicing controls and automation systems, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. You will work closely with engineers and production teams to meet output goals, perform panel building, and train others.

Qualifications

• 6+ years related experience
• PLC programming ability
• Able to program machines from scratch
• Able to wire a 9-lead motor and stress test windings
• Identify data from motor nameplates for specing components
• Familiar with sensors: PNP/NPN, loop-powered, dry contact
• Analog control: 4-20mA and 0-10V
• Ladder logic troubleshooting
• Panel building
• Electrical experience
• Some robotic experience
• Safety circuit integration
• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Install air logic controls from prints or schematics.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits with check valves, accumulators, cylinders, valves.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems with a computer.
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers and robot controllers.
• Use fabrication equipment knowledge to complete maintenance tasks.
• Operate or oversee equipment operation.
• Analyze events within equipment and collaborate with engineers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and upgrades.
• Repair machine controls, systems, and tools as needed.
• Disassemble/re-assemble equipment to replace parts.
• Train others to install, use, and service equipment.
