Job summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Good Samaritan Society provides resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role includes daily living assistance, vital signs, bathing, and basic health support to residents, while adhering to infection prevention policies.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Annual competency testing and continuing education requirements.
• May be certified under applicable UAP Registry and related driver requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital signs.
• Support transfers, mobility, ROM, and safe transfer techniques.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and dining experiences; document care outcomes.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and communicate changes to staff.
