Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. This full-time role supports residents under RN supervision, including daily living activities, vital signs, and mobility assistance.

The position requires a CNA certification and a willingness to complete required continuing education. Shift is 8 hours daytime with 40 hours weekly, plus a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in LTC preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains continuing education credits; minimum 12 hours annually.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Documents resident interactions and communicates changes in condition to charge nurse.
• Assists with bathing, toileting, grooming, mobility and feeding to create a positive dining experience.
• Assists with basic health care needs and infection prevention practices per care plan.
