Job summary

Midwest-Health is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders, with supervision from nursing leadership. You will follow established nursing standards and Community policies, ensuring accuracy, patient privacy, and proper charting.

Key duties include maintaining a clean medication cart, labeling and storing meds correctly, and promptly reporting refusals, reactions, or policy deviations.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CMA certification in good standing with the State.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as ordered by the physician under supervision.
• Ensure medications are labeled, stored, and charted per policy.
• Maintain medication cart and room in a clean, organized state.
• Protect resident privacy and document any refusals or adverse reactions.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards promptly.
