Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. seeks a Certified Medication Aide to assist in administering medications to residents under physician orders, in accordance with established nursing standards, facility policies, and state regulations.

You will maintain a clean medication cart and room, document administration and refusals, report errors promptly, and cooperate with nursing staff to ensure safe, accurate delivery and respect for residents’ rights.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CMA certification in good standing with the State.
• Must have a valid CPR certification.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician.
• Follow nursing standards and facility policies for medication administration.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Document medication administration accurately and report errors immediately.
• Assist in reporting and documenting refusals or adverse reactions.
