Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to assist with administering medications to residents under physician direction, under the supervision of nursing staff and RCC.

The role requires adherence to nursing standards, community policies, and state requirements. The CMA will maintain accuracy in medication handling and documentation, ensure resident privacy, and cooperate with the healthcare team to support safe and effective care.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CMA certification in good standing with the State.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in administering medications as ordered by the physician, under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Document medication administration accurately and report any discrepancies or refusals.
• Follow policy on storage, labeling, dating, and disposal of medications.
• Ensure resident privacy and safety during medication administration.
• Report and document observations of adverse reactions or refusals to medications.
