Qualifications

• 5 years of clinical laboratory experience in a high complexity laboratory.
• 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• 8 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Histotechnologist (ASCP); Histotechnologist certification required for Histology/AP Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manages and develops overall operations for designated areas of responsibility, ensuring standard of care is consistent.
• Aligns daily work with goals and objectives; resolves technical and personnel problems collaboratively.
• Investigates incidents and uses root cause analysis to seek improvements rather than assign blame.
• Coordinates interdepartmental services and maintains liaison with organizational leaders to provide continuum of care.
