Job summary

The supervisor will develop action plans to improve system processes and ensure policy adherence, contributing to accurate diagnosis and patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or closely related field required.
• Other bachelor's degrees accepted if meet certifying agency requirements; may be waived for pre-bachelor ASCP/HHS credentials.
• Three years of clinical experience, preferably in an acute care hospital; supervisory experience preferred.
• Certification in medical technology by ASCP/AMT/AAB required; AAB provisional not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of daily laboratory operations and area.
• Oversee procedures and tests for diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Ensure maintenance of analyzers and quality control per policy.
• Prepare recommendations and action plans to improve system processes.
