Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta seeks a laboratory supervisor to oversee day-to-day testing operations, coordinate staff activities, and maintain high-quality lab services. The role requires leadership, adherence to regulatory standards, and proactive process improvements.

You will supervise personnel, ensure adequate supplies, and support the lab's mission to deliver accurate results for patient care. A BS in Medical Technology or related field and appropriate certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• Current certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or Histotechnologist/Histotechnologist (ASCP or equivalent).
• Eligible Georgia Department of Human Resources supervisor certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and directs testing activities.
• Supervises staff and ensures adequate supplies and competent personnel.
• Implements quality control programs and regulatory compliance.
