Job summary

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Homewood, IL, is seeking a Day Rehabilitation Admission Coordinator to coordinate patient admissions by communicating with referral sources, Clinical Managers, patients and families, and by entering referrals into the EMR and scheduling tools.

You will generate treatment schedules, confirm with all parties, assist with rescheduling, and support administrative functions while upholding the institute's core values.

Qualifications

• Professional level knowledge of rehabilitation.
• Prior experience with electronic scheduling systems and Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• Analytical skills to plan and adjust complex treatment schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize multiple clinic schedules.
• Interpersonal communication and advocacy with patients, families and medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Enter DayRehab referrals into the EMR in a timely manner.
• Confirm receipt of referral and other information with referral source.
• Communicate referral information to Clinical Manager and team.
• Generate treatment schedule based on manager recommendations and clinic census.
• Enter schedule into DayRehab scheduling tool.
• Confirm schedule with patient, family and referral source.
• Assist clinic with rescheduling patient appointments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Day Rehabilitation.
