Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in West Covina, CA is hiring a Day Program Instructor Caregiver to support adults with developmental disabilities in building daily living and vocational skills, independence, and meaningful daily routines.

The role is full-time and on-site (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday) with benefits including HSA, Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA, EAP, PTO, Daily Pay, pre-tax 401(k) & Roth options, and tuition discounts.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings (background check, etc.)
• Preferred: CPI certification
• Preferred: First Aid / CPR Certification
• Applicants may obtain DSP or CPI certifications within the first 6 months if not already completed.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily activity routines based on IPP
• Assist with personal care as needed
• Prepare meals and participate in cleanup
• Support clients in daily living, vocational, recreational, and community activities
• Provide transportation in company vans as needed
• Participate in client assessments, planning, and evaluation
• Enter client notes into computer systems and review IPP goals
• Communicate with supervisors about client progress
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
• Perform additional related duties as assigned
• Help individuals gain confidence, socialize, and reach meaningful goals
