Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in West Covina, CA seeks a Day Program Instructor Caregiver to support adults with developmental disabilities in building skills and daily routines. This full-time, in-person role involves promoting independence, personal care, meals, transportation, and community participation.

You’ll work in a compassionate team, use IPP goals to guide activities, and participate in trainings and staff meetings while delivering world-class supports and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Preferred 1 year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings (background check, etc.).
• Preferred: CPI certification and First Aid/CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and follow daily activity routines based on IPP for each client.
• Assist with personal care and daily living needs.
• Prepare meals and participate in cleanup.
• Support clients in daily living, vocational, recreational, and community activities.
• Provide transportation in company vans as needed.
• Participate in client assessments, planning, and evaluation.
• Enter client notes and review IPP goals.
• Communicate progress to supervisors.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
