The Arc of Somerset County is seeking an Assistant Group Home Manager for a Day Program/Employment Services, 8am–4pm, in Somerset County, NJ. This full-time on-site role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, teaching independent living skills and coordinating transportation and medical appointments.

Responsibilities include medication management, staff training, and ensuring accurate documentation and timely reports.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergraduate degree preferred for advancement.

Responsabilités

Teach independent living skills and assist with personal care.
Arrange transportation for consumers.
Support recreation and inclusion activities; plan vacations.
Administer, monitor, and record medication distribution per policy; review medical logs.
Coordinate medical appointments and maintain documentation; attend appointments as needed.
Communicate and follow up on medical recommendations promptly.
Coordinate agency and intra-program staff trainings; provide essential information to staff.
Communicate consumer needs to stakeholders; coach staff to interact with consumers and families.
Address staff concerns and encourage ideas.
Attend staff and consumer-related meetings.
Maintain staff training and beeper schedules.
Submit required reports on schedule.
Maintain Therap do-logs.
Handle and document financial transactions for consumer accounts; reconcile monthly.
Oversee program and vehicle maintenance; schedule regular services.
Perform other duties as assigned.
