Job summary

The Arc of Somerset County is seeking an Assistant Group Home Manager for Residential Services, working the 4:00pm to 11:00pm shift in Somerset County, NJ. This full-time role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, coordinating care, transportation, and medication administration.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating medical appointments, maintaining logs, and ensuring compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach independent living skills and assist with personal care for consumers.
• Arrange or provide transportation for consumers.
• Assist consumers with recreation and inclusion; plan vacations.
• Administer, monitor and record medication distribution per policy; review medical logs.
• Coordinate medical appointments and ensure documentation is accurate; attend appointments when needed.
• Ensure timely communication of medical recommendations and follow-ups.
• Coordinate training for staff and provide information for duties.
• Communicate consumer issues to relevant parties; guide staff interactions with consumers, families and guardians.
• Address staff concerns; encourage ideas and suggestions.
• Attend staff and consumer-related meetings; ensure schedules are posted.
• Submit daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as scheduled.
• Use Therap for logs.
• Handle and document financial transactions for consumer accounts; reconcile monthly.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of vehicles and program.
• Additional duties as required by supervisor.
