Abilities First, Inc. has provided services for over 60 years to empower individuals with developmental disabilities, offering preschool, day, residential habilitation, community connections, and employment services in Orange County and beyond.

The organization seeks a full-time supervisor to lead DSP teams, coordinate daily operations, and ensure life plan goals are met while maintaining compliance and high-quality participant support.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field; 2 years leading I/DD staff.
• Experience in person-centered planning, goal writing, and progress documentation.
• Computer literacy with data entry, email, and reporting in designated software; valid NY driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Provides day-to-day program leadership, coaching, and staff deployment across groups.
• Monitors staff performance and documents progress per NYS DSP Core Competencies.
• Completes performance evaluations for Day Habilitation Specialists and Assoc Coordinator.
• Directs Assistant Coordinator to support daily operations and coverage.
• Coordinates meetings and communicates priorities and safety updates.
