Job summary

Center for Disability Services is seeking a Day Program Supervisor to lead day programs aimed at increasing independence for people with disabilities through community inclusion, volunteering, activities and daily life skills. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating programming, and ensuring coverage while supporting individuals in dining and personal care as needed.

The position requires a High School diploma, a NYS driver’s license, and a minimum of 3 years experience with people who

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• NYS Driving License in good standing.
• Must be at least 18 years old and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Experience: 3 years with people with developmental disabilities or related field.
• Associate’s degree or two completed years of college may substitute for 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversight and carry through of programming for people supported and supervision of assigned staff.
• Ensures proper program coverage and oversight to the people supported.
• Functions as the consultant to Team Leaders for the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Provide full support to people including dining, lifting and direct personal care when necessary.
