Job summary

YAI is looking for a Direct Support Professional in Orange County to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist in teaching life skills and promote community integration through recreational activities.

The position is part-time, primarily evenings and Saturdays, with a pay rate of $19.05 per hour and offers benefits such as medical coverage and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Ability to support people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Work or life experience within the intellectual/developmental disabilities field is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one supports in community and home settings.
• Complete mandatory trainings based on the program and position.
• Ensure health, wellness and safety by managing crisis situations.
