Job summary

The Jewish Community Center of Staten Island seeks a Day Habilitation Director to oversee the day habilitation program for individuals with developmental disabilities, designing engaging activities and ensuring high-quality care.

You will lead a staff team, collaborate with families and community partners, manage budgets, and monitor outcomes to drive data-driven improvements. A bachelor’s degree and several years in disability services are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Three years’ supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of OPWDD funding and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to collaborate with other agencies and the community.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the Day Habilitation program.
• Provide program supervision for services and staff.
• Ensure documentation and compliance.
• Track staff training and professional development.
• Monitor participant satisfaction and address issues.
• Collaborate with other departments for program ideas.
• Supervise and hire staff, interns and volunteers.
• Implement agency-wide procedures for individuals with disabilities.
