The Jewish Community Center of Staten Island is seeking a Day Habilitation Director to lead our program for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will design engaging activities, lead staff, and ensure high-quality care within regulatory guidelines.

The Day Habilitation Director is responsible for overseeing and managing our day habilitation program for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves designing and implementing engaging programs that promote personal growth, social skills, and community involvement. The director will lead a team of dedicated staff, ensuring high-quality care and compliance with all regulatory standards. The position requires collaboration with participants, families, and community organizations to develop individualized plans that meet the unique needs of each participant. The Day Habilitation Director will also manage program budgets and conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of services, making data-driven adjustments to enhance program outcomes. This leadership role is essential in fostering a supportive environment where individuals can thrive and achieve their personal goals.
You demonstrate an understanding of knowledge specific to technical, professional, or administrative work in managing the day-to-day operations of the Day Habilitation program. You within available guidelines but know how to adjust or adapt methods depending on the members' needs. You know who to contact in the event of an emergency, review and update Safeguards/Individual Plan of Protection (IPOP) as needed, respond to safety issues with an appropriate level of urgency, and ensure levels of supervision are implemented as per service plans
Full-time - 40 Hours
Salary Range: $60 - $65K
