Job summary

Vinfen's Day Hab Program seeks an Activity Assistant (Instructor) to implement clinical and individual programs, support daily schedules, and assist in case management for persons served in the day habilitation setting.

You will work with interdisciplinary teams, provide skill-building in self-help, communication, and independent living, and promote meaningful activity engagement throughout the day.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant work experience or training.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Driving is required for this position with a Vinfen vehicle or personal vehicle.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and assist with daily living tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction and skill building in self care, sensorimotor, communication, and social development.
• Assists in case management responsibilities and input for interdisciplinary reviews.
• Implements clinical and daily plans and maintains documentation daily.
• Engages individuals in meaningful activities with choices throughout the day.
• Supports crisis management using Positive Behavior Support and Safety Care.
