Job summary

Capital City Club Brookhaven's Culinary Department is hiring a line cook for the Pool Kitchen. This full-time role requires setting up the station, preparing items per recipes, and maintaining sanitation and timely work standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of scratch cooking experience, understands safety and food handling, communicates in English, and can work well in a team and under pressure; expect 100% standing during shifts and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years scratch cooking experience.
• Adept understanding of professional cooking and pizza making.
• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.
• Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
• Cleans and maintains station with safety and organization.
• Uses and maintains all equipment in the station.
• Assists with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested by Chef or Sous Chefs.

Capital City Club Brookhaven's Culinary Department is looking to hire an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and team-focused individual for our Pool Kitchen. This is a Full-time position.

Essential Functions:

• Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines
• Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift
• Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
• Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
• Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef or Sous Chefs

Qualifications

• Adept understanding of professional cooking and pizza making
• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
• 2+ year scratch cooking experience
• English language and professional communications skills are required
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Must have problem-solving abilities, be self-motivated, and be organized
• Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
• This position will require 100% standing
• Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water
• The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand basic cooking directions. This is a member-facing position
