Capital City Club Brookhaven's Culinary Department is seeking a night-time Line Cook to join a high-volume kitchen. The position is full-time with flexibility for part-time and includes health vision, life, dental insurance, 401(k) with company match, hot meals, and uniforms.

The role involves setting up stations, preparing items to recipes, maintaining sanitation, cross-training on sauté and grill stations, and working under the Executive Chef or Sous Chefs.

Qualifications

• Adept understanding of professional cooking and pizza making.
• Safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• 1+ year scratch-volume cooking experience.
• English language and professional communications skills are required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Must have problem-solving abilities, be self-motivated, and be organized.
• Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
• This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
• Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
• Must be able to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion and up to 35 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to read and understand basic cooking directions; this is a member-facing position.

Responsibilities

• Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.
• Prepares all food items in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
• Cleans and maintains station in safety, sanitation, and organization.
• Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station.
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
• Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef or Sous Chefs.
