Job summary

Jeff's bagel run in The Villages, FL is seeking dependable Bakers to start the day with us. You’ll prepare dough, bake bagels, maintain cleanliness, and help keep production running smoothly in a fast-paced setting that starts before sunrise.

A great candidate is disciplined, fast, and takes pride in consistency, delivering a quality product day in and day out. Restaurant or bakery experience is a bonus; full training is provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Understands the importance of all baking procedures and recipes.
• Prepping and baking bagels.
• Open Bake.
• Making all dough mixtures in a timely manner using correct procedures.
• Understand rotation and shelf life of raw dough.
• Clean and disinfect work area; set-up and break-down work station; and follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Proof bagels.
• Recognize the importance of time and temperature.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Knead and shape dough.
• Operate machinery to mix, knead, and shape dough.
• Monitor the quality of the dough throughout the process.
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and sanitized.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Must be able to start work as early as 4am.
• Weekend availability required
