Job summary

Jeff's bagel run in Gainesville is seeking a dedicated morning crew member to bake fresh bagels and help build a local community. You will work in a small, hot space, turning dough into quality bagels and supporting open Bake.

No bakery experience is required as full training is provided; discipline, speed, and teamwork are highly valued. Weekend availability and early 4am start are important for success.

Qualifications

• Candidate should be disciplined, fast, and take pride in consistency and quality.
• Restaurant or bakery experience is a bonus.
• Willingness to work in a small, hot space and be a good teammate.
• Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepping and baking bagels according to recipes.
• Open Bake and make all dough mixtures in a timely manner.
• Understand rotation and shelf life of raw dough.
• Clean and disinfect work areas and equipment; maintain sanitation.
• Proof, knead, and shape dough; monitor dough quality throughout the process.
• Operate equipment to mix, knead, and shape dough; start work as early as 4am.
