Job summary

Jeff's Bagel Run is opening a new Brandon location and seeks dependable, energetic Bakers to start the day with us. You'll prepare dough, bake fresh bagels, maintain cleanliness, and help keep production moving in a fast-paced environment.

We're training all new hires, value teamwork, and offer an employee discount, flexible schedule, and a lively, safe work setting. Must lift up to 50lbs and start as early as 4am; weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Restaurant or bakery experience would be a bonus. We will fully train to execute our process.
• A great candidate will be disciplined, fast, and take pride in consistency, delivering a quality product day in and day out.
• Must be willing to work in a small, hot space, boiling and baking bagels to keep up with a high demand.
• Must be a good teammate.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and move quickly and efficiently under pressure.
• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Understands the importance of all baking procedures and recipes
• Prepping and baking bagels
• Open Bake
• Making all dough mixtures in a timely manner using correct procedures
• Understand rotation and shelf life of raw dough
• Clean and disinfect work area; set‑up and break‑down work station; and follow and ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Proof bagels
• Recognize the importance of time and temperature
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
• Knead and shape dough
• Operate machinery to mix, knead, and shape dough.
• Monitor the quality of the dough throughout the process.
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and sanitized.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
