Job summary

Neuberger Berman is seeking an Observability Engineer to lead our Datadog strategy across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will own monitoring, implement SLOs, and drive reliability through dashboards, alerts, and runbooks.

You will partner with engineering, DevOps, and security teams, migrate from legacy tools, and automate observability using Datadog APIs, Terraform, and scripting. A strong focus on reducing alert noise and delivering end‑to‑end visibility is required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in Observability, APM, SRE, or Platform Engineering with hands‑on Datadog experience.
• Proficiency with Windows Server and Unix/Linux, including agent deployment and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the Datadog platform across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Develop dashboards, SLOs, and alerting frameworks with cross‑functional teams.
• Migrate from OpenView to Datadog while maintaining coverage and fidelity.
• Automate configuration via Datadog APIs, Terraform, and scripting (Python/PowerShell/Bash).
