Job summary

Genworth is seeking a Senior Manager, Datacenter - Server Ops to drive end-to-end management of multi-site datacenter hosting infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security while leading modernization efforts and aligning technology services with business needs.

The role requires 12+ years in IT infrastructure with 5+ years in management, deep expertise in physical and virtual server environments, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or Computer Science.
• 12+ years in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 5+ years in management of large-scale datacenter or cloud infrastructure operations.
• Strong understanding of datacenter management, financial stewardship, and leadership in enterprise IT.

Responsibilities

• Datacenter Operations: Oversee multi-site datacenter operations for optimal performance and 24/7 availability.
• Service Delivery & Reliability: Develop procedures for server and virtualization platforms and monitor infrastructure health.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce security controls and compliance with NIST, SOC, ISO etc.
• Vendor & Contract Management: Lead vendor selection, contracts, and relationships for hardware/software and managed services.
• Financial Management (Budgets & FinOps): Manage budgets, forecasting, and cost transparency for data center and cloud services.
• Strategic Planning & Modernization: Shape long-term hosting strategy, cloud migrations, and modernization efforts.
• People Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor distributed teams, drive a culture of excellence.
