Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Applications Engineer for its Partner Support team in Texas. The role focuses on onboarding and debugging efforts with datacenter customers, spanning GPUs, CPUs, and related diagnostic tools.

You will reproduce issues onsite, collaborate with engineers, and develop data-guided experiments to drive debugging. A strong background in server hardware, OS environments, and multi-disciplinary teamwork is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with relevant professional experience.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across hardware and software stacks.
• Ability to coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Reproduce complex customer issues onsite at AMD.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to debug root causes.
• Design, set up and analyze experiments to collect data for debugging.
• Build and configure test harnesses in software and hardware to collect logs.
• Develop scaffolding software to assist debugging for internal and external use.
• Package workloads and test cases for internal debug teams to reproduce issues.
• Coordinate internal debug activities and act as issue coordinator when needed.
• Present solutions and guidance to AMD's key OEM partners.
