Job summary

AMD is seeking a Field Applications Engineer focused on partner support to enable new product introductions and debugging efforts with global datacenter customers. Focus areas include GPUs, CPUs, and related diagnostic and development tools.

The role requires strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills to work with multi-disciplinary teams and OEM partners. Location is Austin or Houston, TX, with on-site work and AMD benefits described.

Qualifications

Proven experience with server architecture; GPU experience is a plus and helpful for integration, debugging, or validation.
Server software environments include Windows/Linux OS, compilers, benchmarks and validation apps.
Experience developing and debugging low-level server-based applications or validating hardware components.

Responsibilities

Reproducing complicated customer issues onsite at AMD.
Collaborating with internal engineering to debug and root cause issues.
Developing, setting up and analyzing experiments to collect data for guiding debug activities.
Setting up complex test harnesses in software and hardware to collect low-level logs.
Developing scaffolding software to assist in debug activities with customers and internally.
Package workloads and customer test cases for internal debug teams to reproduce issues.
Drive internal debug activity as an issue coordinator when needed.
Delivering customer presentations as trusted AMD advisors to key OEM partners.
