Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager to drive the execution and improvement of key service delivery processes across the organization, ensuring correct metrics and KPIs are in place. This role oversees a global team supporting data center OT systems and collaborates with engineers, analysts and PMs.

You will lead cross-functional programs, deliver strategic guidance, and mentor a diverse team while engaging with stakeholders and vendors to uphold operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering team management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on infrastructure, troubleshooting, systems administration, networking, DevOps or applications development experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence, create processes, procedures, and automation to improve efficiency in day-to-day tasks and projects.
• Own performance management and career development of assigned staff; conduct regular one-on-one meetings and provide mentoring.
• Provide technical and soft-skill mentoring; coordinate training with senior engineers and oversee day-to-day staffing.
