Zusammenfassung

RegEd, a leading RegTech provider in the United States, seeks a Database Administrator (DBA) to own and optimize our database landscape. You will manage on-premise and cloud databases, implement backups, monitor performance, and ensure security across production and development environments.

You will collaborate with Architecture, QA, and Infrastructure teams to enhance data reliability, support deployments, and design scalable data solutions.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years database administration or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Strong T-SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, transaction management, error handling, and dynamic SQL.
• Working knowledge of database backup, recovery, and HADR concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud database services in Azure such as Azure SQL MI, Azure SQL DB, or Azure SQL on VMs.
• Experience with database security administration such as user management, role assignment, and access controls.
• Ability to build and maintain SQL scripts, indexes, and complex queries for data analysis and operational use.
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices for OLTP environments.
• Familiarity with database monitoring and dashboard tools such as SSMS, Grafana, or similar platforms.
• Experience with SSIS or other ETL tooling
• Experience with SSRS or other managed reporting platforms
• Familiarity with other database platforms such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field; related work experience can be substituted for education requirement

Aufgaben

• Design, create, and maintain database objects including indexes, views, stored procedures, tables, and other schema elements in on-premise and cloud environments.
• Monitor and maintain database health by reviewing backups, maintenance jobs, index health, and daily operational alerts.
• Perform database user and security management: create logins and users, manage roles and access privileges, and support compliance requirements.
• Verify backup success and support restore testing.
• Participate in investigation and resolution of database incidents including blocking, deadlocks, and performance degradation.
• Refresh development and test environment databases to support QA and development teams.
• Assist in building and maintaining database monitoring infrastructure for alerting and performance data collection.
• Support implementation of database changes and code deployments with Architecture on coding standards for stored procedures/triggers/schema design.
• Perform feasibility studies and effort estimates for new or revised database systems to address business needs.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain database instances for development, testing, and production usage.
• General technical troubleshooting and consultation with QA, App Development, and Infra teams.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, App Development, and Infra to implement and maintain database code and configurations.
