Job summary

RegEd is a leading RegTech provider seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to join its US-based team. You will own, monitor, and optimize database services across on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.

You will collaborate with Architecture, QA, and Infrastructure, implement backup/recovery procedures, tune queries with T-SQL, manage security, and participate in deployment and monitoring pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of database administration, development, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Strong T-SQL skills including complex queries and stored procedures.
• Understanding of execution plans and query optimization techniques.
• Working knowledge of backup, recovery, and HADR concepts.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL MI/DB/VMs.
• Experience with database security administration such as user management and access controls.
• Ability to build and maintain SQL scripts and complex queries for data analysis.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects in on-premise and cloud environments.
• Monitor health, backups, maintenance jobs, and index health.
• Manage logins, users, roles, and access privileges.
• Plan, implement, and maintain backup, restore, and recovery procedures.
• Investigate database incidents including deadlocks and performance issues.
• Optimize queries using T-SQL and indexing best practices.
• Refresh development/test databases to support QA and development.
• Assist in building and maintaining database monitoring infrastructure.
• Support code deployments and work with Architecture on coding standards.
• Provide feasibility estimates for new or revised database systems.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain database instances.
• Collaborate with Architecture, QA, Development, and Infrastructure teams.
