Job summary

RegEd is a leading RegTech provider delivering enterprise solutions to hundreds of clients. The Database Administrator (DBA) role focuses on operational and application database services, resolving incidents, and maintaining health across on‑premise and cloud environments.

The DBA will monitor backups, index health, security, and deploy changes in collaboration with Architecture and QA teams, while driving efficiency and reliability in data platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of database administration, development, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Strong T-SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, transaction management, error handling, and dynamic SQL.
• Working knowledge of database backup, recovery, and HADR concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud database services in Azure such as Azure SQL MI, Azure SQL DB, or Azure SQL on VMs.
• Experience with database security administration such as user management, role assignment, and access controls.
• Ability to build and maintain SQL scripts, indexes, and complex queries for data analysis and operational use.
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices for OLTP environments.
• Commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Familiarity with database monitoring and dashboard tools such as SSMS, Grafana, or similar platforms.
• Experience with SSIS or other ETL tooling.
• Experience with SSRS or other managed reporting platforms.
• Familiarity with other database platforms such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field; related work experience can be substituted for education requirement

Responsibilities

• Own, track, and resolve database-related incidents and requests.
• Monitor and maintain database health through backups, maintenance jobs, and index management.
• Support performance and security requirements across environments.
• Respond to database alerts and escalations; collaborate with teams on recurring problems.
• Continuously seek improvements in projects, products, and processes.
• Design, create, and maintain database objects in on-premise and cloud environments.
