Job summary

Astyra Corporation seeks a Database Administrator (Oracle) for a 6-month hybrid contract. You will administer ERP database security, implement data models, and resolve performance and capacity challenges across Oracle 19c environments, including OCI migrations and RAC/ASM setups.

Required are 10+ years of Oracle DBA experience, strong RMAN, Data Guard, and Enterprise Manager skills, plus excellent communication and Linux/Unix administration capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of DBA experience with Oracle 19c.
• OCI support experience 2+ years.
• Oracle on-premises experience 2+ years.
• Experience migrating Oracle databases to OCI 2+ years.
• Experience migrating Oracle databases to OCI 1 year (highly desired).
• Familiar with Oracle 19c RAC/ASM on Linux 3+ years.
• Experience with Data Guard Physical Standby 3+ years.
• RMAN backup/recovery 10+ years.
• Export/Import Data Pump utilities, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and performance tuning 5+ years.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills 10+ years.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or CS 4+ years.
• Linux/Unix administration experience 3+ years (bonus).
• OCP certification 3 years (highly desired).
• MS SQL Server 2019+ experience 3 years (highly desired).
• Overall 7–10 years of related experience

Description

• Administers, maintains, develops, and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database.


• Implements data models and database designs, data access, and table maintenance codes.


• Resolves ERP database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.


• May require a bachelor’s degree.


• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.


• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.


• Performs a variety of tasks.


• Works under general supervision and typically reports to a manager.


• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
