DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Database Administration 4 for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA.

Job Description:

Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database. Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves ERP database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. May require a bachelor's degree. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves ERP database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks.
• Works under general supervision; typically reports to a manager.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Required Skills:

• 4 years - Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10 Years - Strong DBA experience in working with Oracle 19c and Oracle 26ai 1
• 2 Years - Experience in supporting Databases in OCI
• 2 Years - Experience in supporting Oracle Databases on premise.
• 2 Years - Experience in Migrating Oracle databases to OCI
• 3 Years - Must be familiar with 19c Oracle RAC and ASM (Automatic Storage Management) on Linux
• 3 Years - Must be familiar with Dataguard Physical Standby.
• 10 Years - Must have experience with RMAN backup and recovery
• 5 Years - Other skills include export and import data pump utilities, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Performance tuning, Security, Patching and documentation
• 10 Years - Must possess strong troubleshooting skills.
• 10 Years - Must have strong communication skills, verbally and in writing.
• 3 years - Experience supporting Linux or Unix System Administration, a bonus.

Desired Skills:

• 1 Year - Experience in Migrating COV Agency Oracle databases to OCI
• 3 Years - Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification
• 3 years - Experience with MS SQL Server 2019 or newer
