Job summary

Mbi Llc in Richmond, VA seeks an experienced Oracle DBA to administer, design, and optimize ERP-related databases. You will implement data models, manage performance, backup strategies, and data migrations to OCI, with a focus on 19c RAC/ASM and Dataguard.

Candidates should have strong troubleshooting, communication skills, and a degree in Information Systems or Computer Science; OCI experience and Linux/Unix administration are a plus.

• Familiar with 19c Oracle RAC/ASM on Linux.
• Familiar with Data Guard Physical Standby.
• Experience with RMAN backup and recovery.
• Data Pump, OEM, performance tuning, security, patching and documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• OCP certification is desirable.
• Experience with MS SQL Server 2019+ is a bonus.
• Linux/Unix system administration experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Administers, maintains, develops and implements ERP database security and integrity.

• For ERP platforms, manages data access and maintenance tasks.
• Uses RMAN, Data Pump and OEM for maintenance and recovery scenarios.

Job description

- Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database.

- Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves ERP database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.

- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

- Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a manager.

- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
