Job summary

Constellation Technologies is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator for a federal contract. The role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

You will design, deploy, and optimize Oracle databases, Exadata environments, and related security controls across multiple environments. The position emphasizes RAC/RMAN experience, data migration, performance tuning, and collaboration with customers to meet complex business requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and 10+ years of Oracle DB experience.
• Experience with Oracle/PostgreSQL/MySQL databases including design, deployment, migration and tuning.
• Knowledge of RAC, RMAN backup/recovery and performance monitoring is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement components of Oracle products based on area of expertise.
• Analyze requirements and develop detailed designs for Oracle technologies.
• Provide implementation services including extensions and configurations for customer workflows.
• Perform health checks, tuning, and capacity planning to ensure security and availability.
• Assist in proactive risk analysis during deployment and operations.

Oracle Exadata, DB security, Data Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration, Oracle, Database, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL (General), JavaScript, BASH, Linux, Perl, Python, Java, ETL, Cassandra, Agile

Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.

Required:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph
• Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline. Four (04) years of additional DB experience can be used in lieu of degree
• At least ten (10) years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
• Experience administering to, and engineering solutions with Postress, and MySQL & Oracle’s database (10 – current).
• Extensive experience with database design, as well as the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning
• Experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery - desired
• Experience with Oracle Exadata, DB security, Data Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration – desired
• Designs and implements individual components of the Oracle products based on area of expertise
• Analyzes detailed requirements and develops detailed design for a specific Oracle product or technology
• Provide implementation services for a specific product to include extensions and additional configurations necessary to implement customer unique business processes and workflows
• Perform routine health checks and optimizations of system performance, availability, access controls and security
• Perform system optimization, performance tuning and assist in capacity planning
• Perform proactive analysis of potential issues, risks and roadblocks during system implementation and operations
