Job summary

Constellation Technologies, Inc seeks a Database Engineer/Administrator with an active TS/SCI clearance and polygraph to support federal contracts across locations. You will manage Oracle DBs, implement replication, ensure security, tune performance, develop SQL scripts, and patch systems as part of a robust data architecture.

Experience with PL/SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, and related replication technologies is valued, along with the ability to operate under IAVA requirements and

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph
• Must be a US Citizen
• Two (02) years within the last five (05) years must be directly related to Database Engineering / Administration
• Level 04 requires a minimum fifteen (15) years of experience
• Level 03 requires a minimum twelve (12) years of experience
• Level 02 requires a minimum nine (09) years of experience
• Level 01 requires a minimum six (06) years of experience
• Minimum of High School Diploma
• Experience with Oracle Database Administration including replication technologies
• Experience implementing and maintaining database security
• Experience conducting database performance tuning and monitoring
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving database problems/issues
• Experience installing, configuring, and upgrading RDBMS software
• Experience with PL/SQL
• Perform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system database and Oracle Streams replication issues
• Modify existing database scripts to enhance systems support and create new database scripts for recurring database issues
• Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc requests
• Perform system updates and IAVA patching
• Recommend design and implementation practices that optimize the performance of GOTS/COTS databases and applications
• Nice to have Oracle Grid/RAC in Linux, Mongo, real-time replication (Oracle Data Guard/Streams/Golden Gate, Sybase Replication Server), MySQL, Cassandra

Responsibilities

• Perform daily database administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system databases and Oracle Streams replication issues
• Install, configure, and upgrade RDBMS software
• Develop and execute SQL queries for routine and ad hoc requests
• Implement and maintain database security and patching (IAVA)
• Tune and optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues
• Modify existing database scripts and create new scripts for recurring issues
• Provide guidance on best practices for GOTS/COTS databases and applications
• Support multiple database platforms (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra) and replication technologies

• Perform system updates and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching
• Recommend design and implementation practices that optimize the performance of GOTS/COTS databases and applications

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Experience with Oracle Grid/RAC in a Linux environment
• Experience with Mongo
• Experience with real time highly available data replication technologies such as Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Streams, Oracle Golden Gate, Sybase Replication Server
• Experience with MySQL
• Experience with Cassandra
